.I’m Zoe Hethershaw, an author and holistic health practitioner who has spent more than 17 years holding space for people through trauma, grief, loss, change and the wounds we often learn to carry quietly.
My work has never been about pretending that life is easy or offering people a quick fix. It’s about creating a safe space where we can be honest about what has happened to us, what it has taught us, and what we may still be carrying because of it.
For 15 years, I owned and operated a healthcare company caring for vulnerable people. That experience taught me something I carry into everything I do today: there is always a story beneath the surface of a person.
Over the years, my own life has also shaped the work I now share. I know what it means to experience loss, complicated family relationships, heartbreak, rejection, change and the process of finding yourself again after years of putting everyone else first. I don’t write or speak from a place of having all the answers. I write from lived experience, curiosity and a deep belief that healing begins when we are finally willing to look at what hurts.
As an author, I explore the places many people are afraid to investigate — family wounds, relationships, learned behaviours, boundaries, grief, self-worth, spirituality, resilience and the parts of ourselves we sometimes leave behind just to survive.
My writing is raw, honest and deeply human. I want my books to do more than tell stories. I want them to make people stop, question, reflect and perhaps recognise something of themselves within the pages.
Alongside my writing, I continue to develop my work in holistic healing, drawing from my experience as a Reiki Master and practitioner and from years of working with people in deeply personal spaces.
My work is ultimately about one thing: coming home to yourself.
Whether you find me through my books, my podcast, my healing work or the stories I share, I hope you find something that reminds you that your past may have shaped you, but it does not have to define who you become.
I’m still becoming, too.
And perhaps that’s the most honest part of my story.
